Road closure required for remedial works following resurfacing

HIGHWAY planners have announced a road closure on Brookfield Road, Lymm, later this month (October) for remedial works following resurfacing works.

The closure notice is up to 14 days but is only expected to take one to two days, depending on weather conditions.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce the following: Prohibition of Driving: Brookfield Road from the junction at Davies Way to the junction at Whitbarrow Road; Clearway: Brookfield Road from the junction at Davies Way to the bridge over the Bridgewater Canal.
The Order will be effective from 16th October 2023 for 14 days. The works should only take 1 or 2 days to complete however are weather dependent so will be in place when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

The alternative route will be via Eagle Brow, The Cross, New Road, Dane Bank Road East, Dane Bank Road and vice versa. The restrictions are required for remedial works following the resurfacing of Dane Bank Road and Brookfield Road.
