A traffic warden was greeted with cheers and applause after placing a ticket on a police car outside Warrington’s Golden Square earlier this week.

The incident was captured by Warrington’s former Big Brother star Lisa Appleton, who posted a video on Tik Tok which is now going viral.

The former Big Brother star posted the video on Tik Tok stating “Lol 😂 go on then, hes getting it !! #parkingticket you can appeal 🙄 wazza Warrington applauds 🤣”

As the parking attendant placed the ticket on the car he was applauded and cheered by watching onlookers and responded with a smile.
The video has so far been watched by more 130,000 viewers with nearly 5,000 likes.
Warrington Borough Council has now apologised for the incident and retracted the parking tictet.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “We’re aware of a video circulating on a social media platform showing a traffic warden issuing a parking ticket to a police vehicle parked outside Golden Square Shopping Centre in Warrington town centre.
“Our officers are generally permitted to park in this area when dealing with incidents as part of a longstanding arrangement with Warrington Borough Council.
“The vehicle was not blocking access and was parked in this location for public reassurance and to allow officers to obtain a witness statement.
“The council has since been in touch with the Constabulary to apologise for the misunderstanding and retract the parking ticket.”
