A Lymm road is set to close for up to nine days later this month (September) to allow United Utilities to carry out sewer repairs.

The works will involve the full closure of Birchfield Road from its junction with Sandy Lane to its junction with Cedarfield Road for up to nine days starting from September 25.

Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Birchfield Road from its junction with Sandy Lane to its junction with Cedarfield Road.

The Order will be effective from 25th September 2023 for 9 days, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The closure is required to allow for United Utilities to carry out sewer repairs.
