Police seek three men following serious assault in town centre

POLICE have released CCTV images of three men they would like to speak to in relation to an assault in Warrington town centre which left the victim with serious injuries.

Shortly after 3am on Sunday 4 June, a 24-year-old man was approached by three unknown men near to Block One on Bold Street, Warrington. He was assaulted by two of the three men, who made off shortly after the attack.

The victim sustained serious injuries to his jaw and bruising to his head as a result of the incident.
As part of enquiries, police have released CCTV images of three men they are looking to speak to.

Detective Inspector Helen Clegg said: “Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and as part of our investigation, we are keen to speak to the men in the CCTV images as we believe they may hold important information.
“Anyone who recognises the individuals is urged to contact us. I would also like to appeal directly to those in the CCTV images to get in touch.
“Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, or visit www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, quoting 1566721.”
