He says the school is “elated to unveil the remarkable achievements” of its’ students in this year’s GCSE examinations, “a true testament to their unwavering resilience, remarkable stamina, and unparalleled commitment.”

Mr Powell said: “As we bid farewell to a phase of inflated results, Bridgewater students have performed admirably, bettering the standards witnessed in the 2019 GCSEs. Today, we celebrate their extraordinary accomplishments, showcasing once again why we take immense pride in their determination and dedication.

“The results reflect the culmination of hard work, perseverance, and an unyielding commitment to excellence. As a year group, their attitude and character were impeccable, and their attendance was truly exceptional.
“This outcome is a testament to the students’ dedication and the collaborative efforts of the entire school community. The students have proven that with the right attitude and support, they can achieve remarkable heights. These results are not just a testament to academic achievement, but also to the dedication, support, and resilience of our entire school community. Their journey has been fuelled by the collaborative efforts of the school staff, families, and the students themselves. Their positive attitude, remarkable attendance record, and the quality support they received from both school and home have contributed to this outcome.
“As the students step into the next phase of their education journey, we extend our best wishes. On behalf of everyone at Bridgewater High School, I would like to wish our students all the best in their future endeavours. With the spirit they have shown, I am confident that their journey of success will continue.”
