With 70,000 music revellers set to descend on the area for the Bank Holiday weekend, Cheshiure Police started a Creamfields pro-active operation, yesterday, Monday, August 21.

One arrest was made for being illegal overstayer, while Drugs and a baseball bat retrieved while a car that was unfit for the road and was also seized.

Meanwhile, specially trained staff have been in and around the site earlier this week to make sure the event is safe and enjoyable for everyone attending.
Officers will be in attendance throughout the event working alongside the security staff.

It comes during a week when Cheshire Police have announced increased officer presence on the roads cracking down on those driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
