A FAMILY fun run at Gulliver’s World has raised £1,690 for St Rocco’s Hospice in Warrington.

The charity event, which saw more than 400 people take part, was organised by the Milton Keynes theme park to raise money for the local charity.
Participants could run, walk or toddle the route, which weaved through the resorts’ thrilling rides and attractions.
From every £15 entry (which included theme park admission), £5 was donated to St Rocco’s Hospice, which provides free care 365 days of the year for people with life-limiting illnesses.

Craig Clews, resort manager at Gulliver’s Land, said: “It was heartwarming to see so many people join us for this year’s fun run, supporting St Rocco’s Hospice.
“We’ve been working closely with the hospice and supporting their important work for the local community. A big thank you to everyone who came out to take part in the event and helped raise money for this vitally important cause.”

Nicola Henshaw, fundraising and partnerships manager at St Rocco’s Hospice, said: “We are thrilled to have the support of Gulliver’s World once again for this fun run. It not only provides a fantastic day out for all the family, but it highlights the important palliative care St Rocco’s provides for the local community, completely free of charge.
“Thank you to Gulliver’s World for their ongoing support – it means the world.”
