POLICE are appealing for witnesses and video footage following an aggravated burglary involving armed men attempting to enter a property at Birchwood last Sunday.
Shortly after 9pm on Sunday 17 July, police were called to reports of a burglary at an address in Halliday Close, Birchwood.
The caller reported a group of men armed with weapons were attempting to force entry. Officers attended but the offenders had fled the scene.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers are urging members of the public with information which could aid the investigation to get in touch.
Detective Sergeant Christopher Sheffield said: “Enquiries in relation to this incident are in the early stages and we are now appealing for anyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage to contact us.
“The same goes for anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed anything suspicious.”
