GULLIVER’S World has teamed up with a remarkable Scottish charity that helps children with life-threatening illnesses and their families by providing a much-needed weekend of fun and adventure.

The Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation, based in Lanarkshire, organised for a 45-strong group from families whose children are at different stages of their illnesses to visit the Warrington theme park for a short stay and oodles of family fun!
The party were spoiled with a range of wonderful goodies donated by companies and businesses local to them in Scotland and when they reached Gulliver’s World they were checked into themed rooms of Princess, Pirate, Cowboy, Nerf Gun, and Love Heart – much to the children’s delight.
The children received VIP treatment during their visit enjoying dinner and going on the hunt to find Glitter Drop the unicorn. They even had the park to themselves after it closed to the public.

Angela Cook, DreamMaker charity manager, said: “The team spent months working on this trip and loved every minute of it with our DreamMaker families.
“This trip was one that our small team had wanted to do for a few years and by working together with Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts, and with amazing funding from Allied Vehicles Charitable Trust, we were able to make it a special experience for the families.
“Everyone had an amazing day and although there were more than a few tired children and adults alike, the group then visited the Starlight Theatre for dinner and entertainment for the kids with Gully and Gilly The Gulliver’s mascots before more rides the following day.
“Team DreamMaker loved seeing the children meeting new friends and running around having fun at the theme park. We love what we do and the smiles we saw at the weekend is exactly why we do it.
“Thanks to everyone for making this trip special for these brave children, we can’t wait to get planning the next one.”

Dean Kimberley, director of marketing and loyalty, said: “Gulliver’s is all about making magical memories and experiences for children so to see this group of very special young people and their families have such an incredible time was fantastic for us all.
“We were so pleased to welcome them to Gulliver’s World and our team really enjoyed spending time with them throughout their visit.”
