A brand-new Airport Bus Service has landed involving local company Warrington’s Own Buses and it’s just £2 each way!

In partnership with Transport for Greater Manchester and Warrington Borough Council, local bus company Warrington’s Own Buses are pleased to announce the arrival of a brand-new express bus service to Manchester Airport from 23rd July.

The brand new X5 service will run hourly from Warrington, whizzing travellers to the airport for the rest of their holiday.

This service gives customers one of the cheapest ways to the airport, compared to other modes. It also means you can beat car drop off costs, parking costs and enjoy a journey to the airport for just £2!

Ben Wakerley, Managing Director for Warrington’s Own Buses said: “We are always looking at ways we can expand the network for the people of Warrington and give them great public transport connections.

The new X5 represents incredibly great value travel to Manchester Airport whether it’s for holidays or work. Joining our popular Cat5 route this service is another positive addition to the Warrington Bus network.”

The service operates regularly around Warrington and a full timetable is available online now via www.warringtonsownbuses.co.uk/take-style-manchester-airport

It follows on from news earlier this week that the bus company has ordered 105 new electric buses.

  1. Any addition to the public transport system is welcome, however, the journey time may be a little alarming for some, especially from the town centre boarding points.

As for the advertising of the new service, what is this silly “Come ride” nonsense?

It is no wonder younger people are incapable of speaking or writing correctly.

Silly Americanisms are not just annoying, they indicate a very poor standard of education.

  2. Warringtons own don’t cover all the Borough they can run a bus to Manchester airport but not to parts of the town nothing to brag about.

  3. Day two of the X5 service to Manchester Airport, the 7:20 am X5 got no further than Stockton Heath before breaking down. Someone posted a comment about it on Warrington’s Own Buses facebook page. That message was hastily removed and its author seemingly banned from the page. Hiding comments informing the public of the standard of service on offer is a despicable way of interacting with the public. Funny how it takes up to 10 days to receive a feedback reply and 10 minutes to remove honest but unwanted comments on the level of service on offer
