Care home residents enjoy Lymm Festival performance

RESIDENTS and staff from Cheshire Grange Care Home in Lymm were in for a treat with a visit to Lymm High School to watch Warrington Youth Orchestra perform as part of Lymm Festival.

Residents marvelled at the talented youngsters as they performed a varied selection of pieces from composers Wagner & Gershwin and familiar pieces from TV & Film .There was a special moment as orchestra member played his own composition in memory of his grandfather with a small ensemble and residents were in awe of the two members who took centre stage for solo performances.

One resident commented; “what a lovely treat, I never expected the children to be so talented”

General Manager, Dawn Holsgrove-Smith said: “Our residents and staff had a wonderful time at the concert! We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Cheshire Grange as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents, and being part of a community event made this one very special”
