More silverware for Rylands FC

THE latest trophy to be brought back to Gorsey Lane is the Liverpool County FA Sunday Intermediate Cup won by Warrington Rylands under 21s last Thursday.

The team which plays in the North West Development League Championship defeated Huyton Juniors FC under 21s in the final at the Walton Soccer Centre.

Nacho Barnes bagged himself a hat-trick in the 4-2 victory with leading goal scorer Jack Smith scoring the other goal, his 22nd of the season.

They were not the only Warrington Rylands team to be victorious in the past week as the under 15s team (above red) won the Blackburn & Eagle Tournament and the under 16s (below blue) the Sandbach Tournament.

Warrington Rylands is not just about the first team playing in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, but is a club of many teams and two new teams being formed for the 2023/24 season.

An under 14s Girls team is being added to the fold as is a new reserve team.
New players are always welcome for any of the club’s junior teams; please contact [email protected] for more details.
Also the club is looking for coaches for the 2023-24 season to join the Rylands Family.

The club will cover FA Level 1 Coaching Badge, DBS and Safeguarding Training to help you on your coaching journey. Again please contact [email protected] for more details.
