Warrington Market issue scammer alert

WARRINGTON Market has issued a scammer alert following a fake Facebook Marketplace profile, offering furniture for sale.

The scammer, posing as WA Homes, Davbid Nug and David GIR, claims to be offering furniture for sale from Unit 24 at the market in Times Square.

No such business exists on the market and Warrington Market is urging people not to engage with any of the profiles.
Since issuing the warning, the market has been contacted by locla residents warning of other scammers.

Warrington Market posted the following warning on Facebook.

We, as the whole market, have recently been the target of con man who is advertising furniture being sold on Facebook Marketplace in the market at Unit 24. The profile in which he is disguising himself as has included the names 𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐃 𝐍𝐔𝐆, 𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐃 𝐆𝐈𝐑 and 𝐖𝐀 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐒. Please do not engage with any of these profiles. There is no such stall in the market and under no circumstances transfer any money as a deposit. Thank you.
