LiveWire libraries celebrates Crime Reading Month with free events

LIVEWIRE is celebrating a month of crime literature events as part of the Thursday Crime Club, a community for crime literature enthusiasts.

The events will take place at various Warrington libraries, each offering an exciting and insightful perspective into the thrilling world of crime literature.
The series commences on June 8th at 7pm at Woolston Library with a riveting evening featuring renowned crime author Sarah Ward. Participants will gain an insider’s view into Ward’s writing process, her life, and her successful career.
Stockton Heath Library will host the next event on June 15th at 7pm, where attendees will have the unique opportunity to learn from distinguished authors Mandy Byatt and Ruby Speechley. These two literary talents will discuss their newest crime novels and share their experiences as authors in a Q&A session.

On June 22nd at 2pm, Warrington Library presents a talk by David Nolan, an author and seasoned journalist, who will recount his remarkable career journey. From journalism to crime writing, Nolan’s talk promises to captivate the audience with fascinating stories and insights.
Finally, on June 29th at 7pm, attendees at Burtonwood Library are in for a thrilling Murder Mystery Evening entitled ‘Let’s Play Murder’. This interactive event plunges participants into a chilling narrative surrounding the murder of beloved children’s television personality, Andrew Alistair. This engaging experience challenges participants to unravel the mystery and find the guilty party among four suspicious guests.
The Thursday Crime Club encourages everyone from seasoned crime literature fans to those new to the genre to join these immersive events. This initiative promises engaging conversation, insightful learning experiences, and riveting suspense throughout the Crime Reading Month.
