Appeal for witnesses after motorcyclist receives life changing injuries following collision at Croft

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorist was arrested following a collision at Croft last night (Friday) which left a motorcyclist with serious life changing injuries.

Officers are appealing for information and footage following a serious collision in Warrington.

At around 9.20pm on Friday 26 May, officers were called to Winwick Lane, Croft, Warrington, following reports of a collision involving a grey Mercedes C350 and a black Yamaha motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 41-year-old man from Warrington, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital at this time, his condition is described as life changing.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 44-year-old man from Ellesmere Port, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

Sergeant Andrew Dennison said: “This is a busy stretch of road and I know that even at this time of night motorists would have been using it.
“We have a number of enquiries underway and as part of those we are urging anyone who has any dashcam or CCTV footage that could assist us from the area around the time of the collision and has not yet done so, to please get in touch.
“The same goes to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the vehicles around the time of the incident.
“Any information, no matter how big or small, is greatly appreciated.”

  1. The Mercedes drive needs jailing. He was up and down that road like a mad man he over took my girlfriend doing about 100 mph and then seen him come back around the irland for the m6 it’s only small road with work going on and farms to the right side and he drives like that on way back we seen blue light and new it was the car awful new
