Special commemorative Coronation tree planted at school

PUPILS at Christ Church, Padgate took part in a tree planting ceremony to commemorate the King’s Coronation.

A Bramley apple tree was donated to the school from the PTA, which has been situated in the ‘Coronation Garden and Orchard’ that school gardening teacher Michael Mullan proudly maintains with the help of some of our pupils.

A beautiful bronze plaque that accompanies the Bramley tree was donated by Timpsons at Birchwood.

During a special service Reverend Heather said a prayer while a pupil read a poem in honour of his majesty King Charles III.

The hope is that the tree grows from strength to strength and will provide future generations with a fruitful bounty.
