Lymm Historic Transport Day seeks volunteers

ORGANISERS of the Lymm Historic Transport Day on June 25 are still on the lookout for more volunteers to help with the event.

Volunteers are an essential part of what makes this event one of the very best in the Lymm calendar.

If you are able to spare just a short amount of time on the day then please visit https://www.lymmtransport.org.uk/bookin and register via the online form. All volunteers receive free entry to enjoy the rest of what will be a brilliant day for the village.

The event opens at 11 am and runs until 5 pm. The main hub is Lymm’s May Queen Field but there are also supplementary locations at Maple Lodge, the Village Hall, Henry Street Car Park and the canal – which comes alive with old working boats for the weekend.

The event attracts thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds, showing everything from classic cars to military vehicles, vintage bicycles to Harley Davidsons, steam traction engines and historic working boats to horse-drawn carriages. Alongside these exhibits, there are dozens of stalls selling all manner of food, clothing, toys, and local produce, etc. There will be live music, rides, a climbing wall, model railways, and lots and lots of lego! In short, there’s something for everyone!
