GULLIVER’S World is offering discounted tickets for a special Foodbank Weekend to support Warrington residents.
The weekend, on May 20 and 21, will mark the 10th anniversary of the theme park resort hosting days to help foodbanks in the local community.
Discounted tickets will be available for just £12.50 for those who bring a non-perishable food item to donate on the day. The items will be donated to Warrington Foodbank, which is part of the Trussell Trust. The foodbank collects and distributes long-life emergency food packs to people in crisis.
The special offer weekend comes as Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts celebrates its 45th anniversary this year. Gulliver’s World has a host of special events planned to mark the milestone, including special character appearances, an enhanced education and residential offering, birthday parties, themed activities and events, new accommodation options and park ride and attractions.
Craig Clews, resort director at Gulliver’s World, said: “Between April 2022 and March 2023, food banks in The Trussell Trust network provided almost 3 million food supplies to people in crisis, a 37% increase on the previous year.
“We have a proud, 10-year history of supporting community foodbanks and we recognise this is a tough time for many families. We hope our latest Foodbank Weekend will provide essential food for families in our community.”
