WDP Walk in the Park – Coronation Edition

0

AFTER a few years away, Warrington Disability Partnership’s a Walk in the Park and Family Fun Day returns on Sunday, May 14 – this year with a coronation theme!

‘A Walk in the Park’ – which will be held on Sunday 14th May – starts and ends at WDP’s Centre for Independent Living on Beaufort Street, and is fully accessible and open to everyone. The choice is yours as to whether you wish to walk; run; use a bike; a wheelchair or a scooter.

Thanks to the support from the Warrington Borough Council Community Initiative Fund, children under 16 can now take part in the Walk for ‘free’ (adults £10). All participating adults and children will receive both a medal and certificate on completion – the first 100 registrations will be guaranteed a ‘limited edition’ coronation medal. Although not required, a number of prizes will be given out on the day for the best fancy dress!
Please note that you can set your own distance and pace. There is no pressure to cover the whole route. The rule of the day is to have fun!

The walk also gives you the opportunity to raise funds through sponsorship for an organisation of YOUR choice! This could be a local school, sports team, youth group or charity.
In addition, refreshments, activities, crafts and stalls will be available as park of the Community Fun Day at the Centre for Independent Living (from 11am-3pm). This includes a FREE BBQ for all!*
*Free BBQ consists of Burgers, Hot Dogs and Veggie options – whilst stocks last. You do not need to be taking part in the walk to join in with the fun day.
To register for the Walk online, visit www.disabilitypartnership.org.uk (please register children for free on the same link). Alternatively, contact the fundraising team on 01925 240064.
Bookings can be made online at or by phone by calling the Fundraising Team on 01925 240064.
