THE High Sheriff of Cheshire was on hand to perform the official opening of the new expansion of Bridgewater High School at Appleton, Warrington.
Dr Dennis Dunn MBE JP DL Formerly Pro Vice-Chancellor at Manchester Metropolitan University, performed the official opening in front of invited guests during a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.
It followed a tour of the expansion at the Upper School site, which followed a lengthy consultation exercise. The expansion work was required to cope with increasing pupil numbers in the area.
Following the official opening the High Sheriff took to social media to praise the “wonderful” staff and students, who he described as “confident” and “articulate.”
