Woman arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after pedestrian injured in serious collision at Latchford

A 25-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision on Knutsford Road, Latchford, earlier today.

The incident resulted in a road closure as emergency services attended at the scene.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “At 12.44pm on Wednesday, April 5, officers on patrol in Warrington came across a collision on Knutsford Road, Latchford.
“The incident, which involves a car and a pedestrian, occurred near to the pedestrian crossing on Knutsford Road.
“The pedestrian is believed to have sustained serious injuries and has been taken to the Royal Salford Hospital.
“The driver of the car, a 25-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.”
