A BIG charity family fun day is to take place at Warrington’s Tetley Walker Sports and Social Club on Saturday, April 29 – including three rugby matches.

The event is being held to raise money for St. Rocco’s Hospice and Cancer Research UK – and organisers hope to be able to donate £2,000 to each.

Sponsorship from nuclear engineering company Nuvia and Warrington Market and more than 40 other sponsors has already raised £2,500 before a ball has even been kicked.
The three rugby matches will be: Warrington Wolves Girls U11’s v Halton girls U11’s, Warrington Warriors v Saddleworth Rangers and Warrington Select v Ireland Select.
The Warrington team will include ex-Warrington stars, Kevin Penny and Paul Wood.
Other attractions on the date include:
• Face Painting.
• Ice cream Van.
• Live Music.
• Bar.
• Market Stalls.
• Fairground Rides.
• Food Vendors.
• Under 4’s soft play area.
• Over £1,000 worth of Raffle prizes.
It is a ticketed event, limited because a lack of space and tickets are available from the club in Long Lane, Warrington.
