A PIPEWORK engineering and service business in Warrington has been placed on the market with a £300,000 price tag.

Founder Brian Wilson wishes to retire and has appointed Blacks Business Brokers to find a new owner.

The business operates from 324 square-metre freehold premises on the Guardian Street Industrial Estate, which are included in the sale price.
The business specialises in pipework equipment, including the service and repair of Ridgid equipment and the sale of Ridgid parts. It is also a REMS North West Service Centre, and sells a range of REMS, Rothenberger, Piset and Asada tools and equipment.
Mr Wilson is a time-served pipe fitter and a coded welder. He says that a new owner would, similarly, need to have experience in engineering or pipework.
Taurus Tools employs four staff, including Mr Wilson, and in its most recent financial year turned over £240,000. It operates an active eBay shop and has a basic website and a small following on social media, but most of its loyal base of regular customers have come via word-of-mouth recommendations.
The large industrial unit in which Taurus Tools is located includes an open plan workshop, welding area, spray booth, wet room for washing off, reception showroom, private office, canteen and mezzanine floor.

Megan Sutherst, deal executive at Blacks Business Brokers, said, “Taurus Tools is a well-established business with a loyal customer base and an excellent reputation. It also offers significant scope for growth – an upgraded website being the most obvious way a new owner could generate new customers.
“A new owner would need the right technical background to make the business work, but it would be a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial engineer considering setting up in business, or perhaps a sole trader looking to expand. Warrington has some of the best motorway links in the country so, as well as being fully equipped and staffed, Taurus Tools is fantastically located and will provide a great opportunity for whoever takes it over.”
All enquiries should be directed to Blacks Business Brokers on 0333 370 0000, quoting reference 7383.
