A NEW car-themed area with revved-up rides for thrill seekers is set to race into action at Gulliver’s World in Warrington.

As Gulliver’s celebrates 45 years in business this year, the Gulliver’s Gears area is a major new addition to the family-friendly Warrington theme park which will be unveiled at a special launch weekend from Friday 31 March- Sunday 2 April 2023.
The area, which will be a big hit with lovers of cars and those with a need for speed, includes two exciting new rides – the rollercoaster Grand Prix Racer and thrilling Overdrive as well as a host of play attractions and ride ons.
The Grand Prix Racer roller-coaster takes those race drivers brave enough on a fast and furious journey filled with terrific twists and turns.
Overdrive, one of Gulliver’s World’s most daring rides, is a 360-degree thrill that temporarily turns riders’ worlds upside down.
The Gulliver’s Gears launch weekend kicks off on Friday 31 March with a special community invite-only event where guests will get access to the resort to explore the new area and have a go on the rides. There will also be a host of race-themed activities on offer and mascots Gully and Gilly Mouse on hand to greet visitors.
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 April sees the launch fun continue as the resort opens up to the general public. Local competition winners will officially open the Gears area and theme-park goers will be able to take part in a special Gully’s Pit-Stop party where the Gulliver’s entertainment team will be in full swing. There will be race-themed face painting on offer, photo opportunities on a podium with Gully and Gilly Mouse, bubble machines, car inspired music and much more!

Craig Clews, resort director at Gulliver’s World, said: “We’re thrilled to unveil this new area at Gulliver’s World, and really excited to welcome our guests to the exciting race-themed launch weekend where there will be so much for people to enjoy!
“Young thrill seekers – and the young at heart – will love the Grand Prix Racer roller coaster and Overdrive rides and it’s wonderful to have a new area of the park where families can make even more magical memories.
“As a family business, we’re constantly looking at ways to invest and refresh our resorts, so we’re pleased to be making this important enhancement to our resort here in Warrington, especially as 2023 marks the 45th anniversary of Gulliver’s first theme park opening. We can promise a lot more fun and frolics in the months ahead to help us celebrate with our wonderful and loyal customers!”
