An IT issue has been affecting telephone and computer systems at GP practices across Warrington and Halton this morning.
While engineers are confident that the issue has now been resolved, practices are asking residents to attend their scheduled appointments as normal but to expect some delays.
Cheshire & Merseyside NHS has apologised for any inconvenience.
A server outage last September also brought down systems.
Local GP Dr Dan Bunstone took to social media to raise the issue tweeting: “The WIFI is down across the NHS network in Warrington. This means, if you’re a Warrington patient, you’re surgery will be without any internet, any clinical records, and possibly phone. They’ll be working super hard, but the solution is the internet being repaired.”
