Lymm Rugby Union Club on the brink of making history

0

THIS Saturday, March 11, is a BIG day for Lymm Rugby Union Club’s first-team squad who are on the brink of making history if they can gain promotion.

The team has the opportunity of winning the league and gaining promotion to a level Lymm has never played before – National League 2 North. The game is against local rivals Northwich who lie 9th in the league.

By winning with a big margin they could beat Blackburn to promotion, who currently have a game in hand but the points difference is 44 in Lymm’s favour, and they are 5 league points adrift.
So, Lymm needs to rack up a big score on Saturday and may win promotion. Support from everyone living nearby is vital and club is urging people to come along and help cheer Lymm’s first team to victory!!
Kick-off is 3pm and The Halfway House will be open from 1 pm for beer and refreshments.
This is an appeal to all Lymm villagers and children to give the team its full support on Saturday and make it a day to remember at Lymm Rugby Club!
