A SIX-year-old girl from Latchford has donated at Warrington Foodbank after spotting homelessness on the streets and wanting to help make sure people have access to food and hygiene supplies.
Olivia Ramsden, a pupil at Cobbs Infants in Appleton, was inspired to help out after seeing a homeless person on the streets of Warrington.
She asked her mummy Hannah, what they could do to help? Soon she was helping empty the cupboards at home to help provide supplies that have now been delivered to Warrington Foodbank.
Proud mum Hannah said: “She really was quite upset when she saw a homeless person seeking help on the streets of Warrington. She really has a kind soul and wanted to help out. I’m really proud of her but was surprised she picked up on the issues people are facing on the streets when she is still so young.
“I’m sure this will be the first of many trips to the Foodbank!”

The main Foodbank distribution centre, where donations can be dropped off is based at Hilda Whitfield House, 2 Tanning Court (behind DFS, Riverside Retail) Warrington WA1 2HF.
Warrington Foodbank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in the local area.
