HOUSING developer Barratt and David Wilson Homes North West has raised more than £45,000 for its chosen Charity of the Year for 2022, Claire House Children’s Hospice.
The housebuilder, based in Warrington, continued its support of the children’s hospice and, through fundraising and donations from the Barratt Developments PLC Charitable Foundation, has gifted a total of £45,197.87.
The commitment of employees at Barratt and David Wilson Homes towards fundraising for life-altering care will help cover the costs of the hospice’s services and expenses.
As well as the in-house fundraising, the Barratt and David Wilson Homes directors also took part in a volunteering day at the hospice, which saw the team assist with grounds maintenance around the facility.
Harry Boshell, Partnerships Manager at Claire House Children’s Hospice, said: “It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with Barratt and David Wilson Homes over the last year. As the cost of delivering our services continues to rise, this vital support allows us to continue to be there for our children and families when they need us most.
“Seeing so many people at an organisation pulling together so passionately for a cause so close to their hearts has been brilliant. On top of the fantastic fundraising work that’s gone on, the team have also given up their own time to volunteer to make a difference at the hospice.
“Its employees have also championed the work that goes on at Claire House and why it’s so important for our local community. We’re thrilled to be continuing to work together this year.”
Claire House Children’s Hospice opened in December 1998 with the mission to help seriously and terminally ill children live as full and as happy a life as they possibly can, and the hospice now supports over 400 families in Wirral and the surrounding areas.
