Seven more COVID-19 related deaths as inpatient numbers and infection rates rise

SEVEN more COVID-19-related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital in the past week, with infection rates rising for a third consecutive week.

A total of 82 cases were reported in the past week but remain in single figures in all but two areas of Warrington.

The 82 cases week ending February 11 compared to 72 cases in the week ending Feb 4. While there have been seven more COVID-19-related hospital deaths in the past week, inpatient numbers have increased from 41-53 with 30 (25) patients discharged in the past week.

There have been 82 (72) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 85,198 (85,103) – 78,438  (78,384)  1st infections, 6,760 (6,719) reinfections and an infection rate of 39.2 (34.4) per 100,000 which has risen for a second week, compared to a rate of 36.9 (33.76) for England which has also risen.
