No-fly zone put in place after drones seen flying over scene of Brianna Ghey’s death

POLICE have put a “no-fly zone” in place at Culcheth around the scene of Brianna Ghey’s death following reports of drones flying over the area.

Police are aware that a number of drones have been flying over the area near Culcheth Linear Park where Brianna Ghey died on Saturday.

As a result, a temporary no-fly-zone is in place lasting until 1pm on Wednesday 15 February, at which time it will be further reviewed.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “Please respect this restriction and the privacy and dignity of Brianna and her family.”

Two 15-year-olds, one male and one female, have been arrested in connection with the death.
