Freemasons made donations of more than £26,000 to charities last year

WARRINGTON Freemasons made donations to charities totalling more than £26,000 last year.

A total of £21,566 was donated to local, non-masonic charities while £4,518 was donated to Masonic charities.

This was announced at the Warrington Masonic Group’s annual charity giving day at the Masonic Hall, attended by the Deputy Mayor of Warrington, Cllr. Graham Friend, representatives from the charities the group had supported, Warrington Group, officials, the Provincial Charity Steward, Paul Shirley and Colin Rowling representing the Province of West Lancashire
Each of the attending charities gave a short talk and members were amazed to hear of the work they do each day, week and months of the year.
