A wide variety of equipment including pumps, motors, switches, gearboxes and valves from the decommissioned Fiddlers Ferry Power Station at Penketh is up for grabs at auction.
Other items including large-capacity pumps, motos, tanks, air compressors and demountable buildings are also available by negotiated sale.
The Fiddlers Ferry coal-fired power station in Warrington was decommissioned in 2020 and acquired by Peel NRE from SSE Thermal in 2022.
As part of the proposed re-development of the 820-acre brownfield site, the operational power station plant, machinery and equipment is being offered for sale for re-use by negotiation or auction.
The Fiddler’s Ferry auction on Wednesday 15th February will feature an extensive range of lots from the decommissioning of the power station.
These will include a comprehensive inventory of unused pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, transformers, switchgear and fans. Other items include machine tools and equipment, mobile pumps, engine, pallet racking, heavy duty lifting equipment, canteen and lab equipment.
Items for negotiated sale throughout 2023 include:
