St Rocco’s Hospice Christmas tree collection raises £44,000

THIS year’s Christmas tree collection for St Rocco’s Hospice has raised a staggering £44,000 for the charity.

On Saturday January 14, 100 volunteers joined forces to carry out the annual Christmas tree collection, collecting over 2600 trees in Warrington.

Residents could easily recycle their unwanted Christmas tree by making a donation to the Hospice.  The trees were then disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.
Charlotte Howard, Senior Events Fundraiser for St Rocco’s Hospice said: “As a charity that relies on the local community for 80% of its funding, I would like to thank every Warrington resident that has used the service and generously donated this year to help raise an amazing £44,000. This will make a huge difference to the patients and families that we care for. Further thanks go to our volunteers that gave up their time to help and our partners, listed below who we could not run this collection without.”
