LOCAL anti-hate campaigner Adrian Derbyshire showed the true spirit of Christmas during his annual visit to Warrington Hospital to deliver gifts to patients and staff.

Adrian, who tragically lost his sixteen-year-old daughter Julia in October 2015, spent Christmas Day visiting patients and staff at the hospital, where his daughter died after five days on a life support machine.

During his visit, Adrian also presented gifts of coffee-making machines to staff, purchased by himself, along with supplies of Starbucks coffee donated by the Village Hotel, along with teddy bear toys, funded by a Warrington Worldwide Legacy grant.

Adrian said: “It was lovely to see a smile on the faces of patients and staff as I went around the wards.”
He presented “get well” teddies to youngsters in the children’s ward along with a teddy gift to their siblings.
He returns each year in memory of his daughter Julia who tragically took her own life after being a victim of online bullying.
