Hospital inpatient numbers and infection rates rise as one more COVID-19 related death reported

ONE more COVID-19-related death has sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital since last week,  while infection rates and hospital inpatient numbers have risen after recent falls

Infection rates remain in single figures in all areas of Warrington, other than Lymm where there has been a spike from 6-25, while hospital inpatient numbers have risen from 21-37.

The 93 cases week ending November 26 compared to 74 cases in the week ending November 19 , compared to 75 the previous week and 100 the week before that. While there has been one more COVID-19-related hospital death since last week, inpatient numbers have risen from 21-37,  with 21 (18) patients discharged since last Thursday.

Current inpatients as of Thursday, December 1,  2022, compared to Thursday, November 24 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 37 (21) including 0 (0) in ICU.

The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 738 – 352 per 100,000.

There have been 93 (74) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 84,126  (83,956) – 77,775 (77,723)  1st infections, 6,351 (6,314) second and an infection rate of 44.4 (35.8) per 100,000 which has fallen after last week’s rise compared to a rate of 35.9 (36.4) for England which has also fallen.
