Stand-up comic Tom on his way to town

ONE of the fastest-rising stand-up comics on the UK comedy circuit is stopping off in Warrington as part of his upcoming tour.

Anticipation is building for Tom Allen’s new show, Completely, as his previous one sold more than 50,000 tickets, including a sell-out gig at the London Palladium where he recorded his TV special. The tour will reach Parr Hall on September 13.

Tom, known for his acerbic wit and unruly storytelling, made his breakthrough in 2005 when he won both the UK comedy newcomer award, So You Think You’re Funny, and the BBC New Comedy Award.
Now he is a familiar face on the small screen as host of The Apprentice: You’re Fired and co-host of Cooking with the Stars.
Tom, who has supported the likes of Michael McIntyre, Sarah Millican, Romesh Ranganathan and Josh Widdecombe, is also a regular on Bake Off: An Extra Slice and There’s Something About Movies as well as heading up the hit podcast, Like Minded Friends.
More recently, Tom has been on ITV’s DNA Journey where TV personalities delve into their family histories.

Talking of families, Tom’s show, Completely, will see him talk about finally taking the big step of moving out of his parent’s house.
That has been great news for him, better news for department stores and even better news still for his audiences as he’s eager to share his life updates, get opinions on his vegetable patch and delve into the protocol of inviting friends with children for dinner…
Tickets are on sale now; visit parrhall.culturewarrington.org or call the box office on 01925 442345.
