Five more COVID-19 related deaths although inpatient numbers and infection rates continue to fall

ANOTHER five COVID-19-related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital in the past week,  although hospital inpatient numbers and infection rates have continued to fall.

New infection rates reported in all areas of Warrington were in single figures, while hospital inpatient numbers have fallen from 30-18.

The 75 cases week ending November 5 compared to 100 cases in the week ending November 5 , compared to 131 the previous week and 196 the week before that. While there have been five more COVID-19-related hospital deaths since last week, inpatient numbers have fallen from 30-18,  with 25 (17) patients discharged since last Thursday.

Current inpatients as of Thursday, November 17,  2022, compared to Thursday, November 10 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 18  (30) including 0 (0) in ICU.

The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 736 – 349.6 per 100,000.

There have been (100) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 83,956  (83,882) – 77,672 (77,622)  1st infections, 6,284 (6,260) second and an infection rate of 35.8 (47.8) per 100,000 which has fallen after last week’s rise compared to a rate of 36.4 (42.7) for England which has also fallen.
