Five more COVID-19 related deaths although infection rates continue to fall

FIVE more COVID-19-related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital in the past week,  although infection rates have continued to fall.

Although infection rates have risen slightly in seven (7) areas of Warrington the overall trend is down, while hospital inpatient numbers have risen slightly from 29-30.

The 100 cases week ending November 5 compared to 131 cases in the week ending October 29, compared to 196 the previous week and 177 the week before that. While there have been five more COVID-19-related hospital deaths since last week, inpatient numbers have risen slightly from 29-30  with 17 (25) patients discharged since last Thursday.

Current inpatients as of Thursday, November 10,  2022, compared to Thursday, November 3 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 30  (29) including 0 (2) in ICU.

The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 733 – 349.6 per 100,000.

There have been 131 (196) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 83,882  (83,802) – 77,622 (77,571)  1st infections, 6,260 (6,231) second and an infection rate of 47.8 (62.6) per 100,000 which has fallen after last week’s rise compared to a rate of 42.7 (57) for England which has also fallen.
