Two more COVID-19 related deaths although infection rates fall after brief rise

ANOTHER two COVID-19-related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital in the past week, although infection rates have fallen after last week’s brief rise.

Although infection rates have risen slightly in seven (11) areas of Warrington the overall trend is down, while hospital inpatient numbers have fallen slightly from 30-29.

The 131 cases week ending October 29 compared to 196 cases in the week ending October 22, compared 177 the previous week and 202 the week before that. While there have been two more COVID-19-related hospital deaths since last week, inpatient numbers have fallen from 30-29 with 25 (36) patients discharged since last Thursday.

There have been 131 (196) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 83,802 (83,608) – 77,571 (77,490) 1st infections, 6,231 (6,190) second and an infection rate of 62.6 (93.6) per 100,000 which has fallen after last week’s rise compared to a rate of 57 (83.2) for England which has also fallen.
