Local man arrested following police raid on cannabis farm at Woolston

A 34-year-old local man was arrested following a police raid on an alleged cannabis farm in industrial premises at Woolston, Warrington, last Friday.

It is understood that the premises on New Cut Lane, Woolston, were openly being promoted on social media at the time of the raid.

A Cheshire police spokesperson said: “On Friday 28 October officers were made aware of a possible cannabis farm at a property on New Cut Lane, Warrington.
“Officers attended the address and discovered a number cannabis plants which have since been seized.
“A 34-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of class B drugs; he has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.”
