WARRINGTON Wolves Women FC created history by reaching the First Round Proper of the FA Cup.
A crazy start to the game saw at Tetley Walker saw Warrington take the lead after 6 seconds, a fantastic start from Nic Chatts winning the ball and slotting it past the Farsley keeper.
Not long after Farsley equalised to level the game to 1-1. But the ladies, in particular Sam Hassall definitely had their shooting boots on as she found the back of the net from range twice in the first half putting Warrington 3-1 up. Joining in the party, Emily Walton took the ball down and found the top corner making it to 4-1 at half time.
An electric start to the second half saw Sam earn her hat-trick making it 5-1.
Slight complacency set in and Farsley found the back of the net twice in quick succession taking the score to 5-3.
The ladies went up a gear yet again, after Nic Chatts was fouled in the area winning a penalty which Chloe calmly converting to put the wolves 6-3 up. Wouldn’t be a Sunday without a goal from Dicko, as she scored from range to take the final full-time score to 7-3.
A fantastic performance from everyone and hard graft across the pitch. The ladies are now in the FIRST ROUND PROPER, the furthest the club has ever made it in the FA Cup. Scheduled to play Consett away on Sunday 13th November (details TBC).
