Two more COVID-19 related deaths as infection rates rise following recent downward trend

TWO more COVID-19-related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital in the past week,  while infection rates have increased following recent downward trends.

Although infection rates have risen in eleven (8) areas of Warrington, hospital inpatient numbers have fallen from 37-30..

The 196 cases week ending October 22 compared to 177 cases in the week ending October 15, compared 202 the previous week and 221 the week before that. While there have been two more COVID-19-related hospital deaths since last week, inpatient numbers have fallen from 37-30  with 36 (27) patients discharged since last Thursday.

Current inpatients as of Thursday, October 27,  2022, compared to Thursday, October 20 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample – 30 (37) including 0 (2) in ICU.

The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 729 – 348.1 per 100,000.

There have been 196 (177) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 83,608  (83,503) – 77,490 (77,371)  1st infections, 6,190 (6,132) second and an infection rate of 93.6 (84.5) per 100,000 which has risen compared to a rate of 83.2 (97.1) for England which has fallen.
