Two more COVID-19 deaths as reported infections continue downward trend

WHILE two more COVID-19-related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital in the past week,  infection rates have continued a downward trend.

Although infection rates have risen in 8 areas of Warrington, the overall trend is down and hospital inpatient numbers have risen slightly from 36-37.

The 177 cases week ending October 15 compared to 202 cases in the week ending October 8, compared to 221 the previous week and 197 the week before that. While there have been two more COVID-19-related hospital deaths since last week, inpatient numbers have risen from 36-37  with 27 (30) patients discharged since last Thursday.

Current inpatients as of Thursday, October 20,  2022, compared to Thursday, October 13 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample – 37 (36) including 2 (2) in ICU.

There have been 177 (202) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 83,503  (83,326) – 77,371 (77,250)  1st infections, 6,132 (6,076) second and an infection rate of 84.5 (96.5) per 100,000 which has fallen compared to a rate of 971 (109.3) for England which has also fallen.
