New exhibition by Warrington artist

A NEW exhibition by Warrington artist Sarah Harris opens at the Pyramid Arts Centre on Thursday October 6.

In the exhibition, “Time and Colour”, the artist uses installation art and paintings to explore memory and how our mind recreates ephemeral snapshots over and over again into an abstraction of colour and shapes.
The mind’s eye can focus on faces and objects as narratives play out.

Sarah Harris has a socially engaged practice. Through her work she aims to celebrate Northern voices and examine the complex themes around identity and belonging.
She recently won Art Battle Manchester XIX and recent work has included the ‘Blissed Out’ installation at New Art Spaces: Warrington and ‘Story Lanterns: All These Latchford Souls’ which was commissioned by Culture Warrington for the Pop-up Museum and Library in Golden Square.
