A Civic Commemoration Service marking the death of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will take place at St Mary’s Church in Lymm this Sunday, September 18 at 10 am.

Representatives from various organisations including Lymm Parish Council, guides, brownies etc will attend alongside general members of the public.

The service will also be live streamed via YouTube which can be accessed by searching for Civic Service Lymm on the YouTube website.

A collection will be taken for the Queen’s Memorial Tree Fund. After the service, all members of the congregation are welcome to join a procession along Rectory Lane towards Lymm Village Hall for refreshments. A road closure will be in place for safety.
Floral tributes from members of the public are held at Lymm Village Hall but if anyone is not following the procession to the village hall they may leave flowers in the church which will be collected later.
Reverend Beverley Jameson Rector of St Mary’s Lymm said: “The service will be full of wonderful music and it will help us all to honour and say goodbye to a marvellous woman who loved and cared for her peoples of all nations. God bless Her Late Majesty and flights of angels guide her to her rest.”
