Three more COVID-19 related deaths as hospital inpatient numbers and infection rates fall

THREE more COVID-19-related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital in the past week as infection rates and hospital inpatient numbers have fallen.

The 108  cases week ending September 3 compared to 113  cases in the week ending August 26, compared to 158 the previous week and 193 the week before that. While there have been three more COVID-19-related hospital deaths since last week, inpatient numbers have fallen from 39-26  with 30 (31) patients discharged since last Wednesday.

Current inpatients as of Thursday, Sept 8, 2022, compared to Wednesday, August 31 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 26 (39) including 1 (1) in ICU.

There have been 108 (113) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 82,412 (82,279) – 76,608 (76,528)  1st infections,  5,804 (5,751) second and an infection rate of 51.6 (54) per 100,000 which has fallen compared to a rate of 44 (43.6) for England which has risen marginally
