TWO new coaches have joined the staff as Lymm Rugby Club prepares for the new season ahead.

Training has been underway since the beginning of June, in preparation for the forthcoming season. Adam Fletcher remains as Director of Rugby and Andy Davies as Head Coach.

Two more coaches have been added to the staff; Gav Woods as forwards coach and Tom Bray as backs coach. James Yates is 1st XV Captain and Nathan Beasley Vice Captain. Training has been well attended with a large number of former Colts in the squad.

Lymm arranged two pre-season warm-up fixtures. Last Saturday, they took a 30-man squad to play Glossop, who play one league below at Level 6. Glossop has impressed and gained promotion over the last few seasons, finishing in the top half of the Level 6 North West League and they should equip themselves well next season. Lymm won the game 42 – 14.

This Saturday, 20th August, they have a tougher game at home to Level 4 team, Preston Grasshoppers, KO 3 pm. Then on Friday evening, 26th August they travel to play Stockport in the 1st Rnd of the Cheshire Cup KO at 7.30 pm.
All good preparation before their opening League game away to Northwich on Saturday 3rd September, KO 3 pm.
