EXCITING and impressive things are to be expected from Warrington & Vale Royal College as they announce their recent partnership with 10:10 Games.

This partnership with upcoming videogame developer 10:10 Games based in Warrington, is a hugely valuable addition to the college’s brand-new Advanced Creative & Digital Skills (ACDS) Centre and comes ahead of the centre’s opening this September. Born with the help of a £1.3m investment from the Department for Education, the ACDS Centre will offer industry specific courses, resources and skills through the use of innovative technology, fully-equipped facilities and the provision of high-quality education.

Together with 10:10 Games, Warrington & Vale Royal College will provide students with plentiful opportunities to enhance their knowledge and develop their skills. The collaboration with 10:10 Games will give students the chance to work towards industry-specific briefs and see the curriculum enhanced with the knowledge and input from these industry professionals.

Students joining the college from September can expect plenty of perks from this partnership. As well as live briefs from experts, students can look forward to masterclasses delivered by 10:10 Games, mentoring opportunities with the chance to gain 1-1 feedback from those working in the field, and support with building their portfolios. Some students will even be lucky enough to participate in ‘test and play’ sessions, where they will test new game releases at the 10:10 Games headquarters. This is an important stage in videogames development, and will be an extremely enriching experience for those looking to pursue a career in the industry.

10:10 Games is an exciting videogame developer with a vision to create an ‘inclusive, collaborative and welcoming’ studio where the team is empowered to achieve their best; an ethos they share with Warrington & Vale Royal College. ACDS Business Manager, Stephanie Doyle, said: “This is the most important thing about the partnership, being able to work with such a passionate, value-led employer”.

Stephanie went on to say: “We are so proud to announce this partnership with 10:10 Games and we’re thrilled to be working with such a passionate, diverse and talented employer. We know how much our students will benefit from this collaboration, as together we will provide valuable, real-world experience and opportunities that will enable them to become experts in their field.”

The doors to the all-new ACDS Centre at Warrington & Vale Royal College will be open from September 2022, with the official launch coming in February 2023.
