Two more COVID-19 deaths as latest hot spots data reveals infection rates continuing to rise in nearly all areas of town

TWO more COVID-19-related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital since Monday, with 748 cases confirmed in the past week with infection rates continuing to rise in nearly all areas of the town.

The 748 cases week ending July 8 compared to 574 cases in the week ending July 1 , compared to 487 the previous week and 306 the week before that.

There have been another two COVID-19-related hospital deaths since Monday, while inpatient numbers have fallen from 95-84 with 15 patients discharged since Monday.

There have been 748 (574) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 80,472 – 75,213 1st infections, 5,259 second (79,767) and an infection rate of  357.2 (274.1) per 100,000 which has risen again compared to a rate of 309.4 (246.3) for England.
