A POPULAR wine bar is seeking permission to enable it to provide increased outdoor seating.
Plans have been submitted to Warrington Borough Council by Corks Out, in London Road, Stockton Heath.
The business has been operating for some years as a wine merchant and wine bar.
It was grown into a popular local establishment and already has outside seating to the rear as well as seating on the ground and first floors.
But the front elevation of the Victorian building requires some attention, say planning officers, and the owner would like to improve it by replacing an unused raised paved area with a terrace to provide additional outside seating at the front.
Planning officers say there are already a number of businesses in London Road with outside seating at the front and these have proved popular. Corks Out wish to provide something similar, although on a smaller scale.
The work would be carried out using reclaimed brick to match the existing frontage.
Planning officers are currently considering the proposals.
